Description of Alteromonas macleodii KYW1005 View in CoL
Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, non-pigmented and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, smooth, raised and cream-colored after 3 days of incubation on MA at 25°C. Positive for cytochrome oxidase, esculin hydrolysis and β -galactosidase, but negative for arginine dihydrolase, gelatinase, glucose fermentation, indole production, nitrates reduction and urease in API 20NE test. Strain KYW1005 (= NIBRBAC000497923) has been isolated from sea water sample, Gwangyang, Jeollanam-do, Korea.
