Description of Kangiella japonica LPB View in CoL 0123

Cells are Gram-staining-negative, flagellated, non-pigmented and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular and light yellow-colored after 1 days of incubation on MA at 26°C. Positive for cytochrome oxidase, esculin hydrolysis and β -galactosidase, but negative for arginine dihydrolase, gelatinase, glucose fermentation, indole production, nitrates reduction and urease in API 20NE test. Capric acid, D-glucose, malic acid, D-maltose, D-mannitol, D-mannose, potassium gluconate and trisodium citrate are utilized. Strain LPB0123 (= NIBRBAC 000497989) has been isolated from sea water sample, Haeundae, Busan, Korea.
