This species was described on Buddleia madagascariensis in Italy (Ribaga, 1904). This species is very common in the Mediterranean region, and is known from cultivated areas as vineyards (Peverieri et al., 2009, Minarro & Kreiter, 2012). This is the first time it has been reported from Morocco, but it was already known from Tunisia and Algeria.
Specimens examined: 2002, Oum Er Biaroad on Mentha sp. ( Lamiaceae ) (3 females); 2003, Gorges of Zegzel on Ficus carica (Moraceae) (2 females), Salix pedicelata (Salicaceae) (17 females), Mentha pulegium (Lamiaceae) (8 females, 3 males), Road to Souk El Arba on Coleostephus myconis (Asteraceae) (7 females, 5 males).
