Key to the subgenera of the genus Ventocoris in Turkey
1. Body dorsally blackish brown, reddish brown or dark brown; anterior part of pronotum, antennae, legs, and ventral side of abdomen except genital segments (which are entirely blackish brown in male, partially in female) light yellow or yellowish brown. Humeral angles of pronotum rounded, not produced. Host plant: Nigella View in CoL spp. ( Ranunculaceae View in CoL )...... Ventocoris s. str.
- Body dorsally yellow or yellowish brown; legs and ventral side of abdomen not light yellow; colour of genital segments similar to other parts of abdominal venter. Humeral angles of pronotum (except V. halophilus and V. oblongus ) more or less produced, usually horn-shaped. Host plant: Brassicaceae View in CoL and some other plant families......................... Astirocoris
