Redescription. Body generally yellow or yellowish brown, wrinkled and with red or black punctures ( Figures 16 View FIGURE 16 . a, b, c, d). Head yellow, yellowish brown or reddish brown and with punctures. Antennae yellow or yellowish brown, apicalmost segment dark brown ( Figure 16 View FIGURE 16 . e). Antennae with short setae. Antennal segment 1 does not extend to apex of head. Rostrum yellowish brown, last two segments black and extends to hind coxa. Thoracic pleuron yellowish brown, and with punctures. Pronotum medially with transverse shiny tubercles. Distal part of pronotum yellow, proximal part yellowish brown or black. Scutellum with yellow, yellowish brown or black stripe, extends to apex of abdomen, proximal part of scutellum with callus. Connexivum yellowish brown, connexival tubercles absent. Venter and spiracles yellow or yellowish brown. Metathoracic scent gland ostiole and peritreme as in Figure 16 View FIGURE 16 . f. Dorsum black, legs yellow, yellowish brown or black with red punctures.

Male genitalia: Ventral view of pygophore yellowish brown, medial region of ventral rim of pygophore hollow, U-shaped ( Figure 16 View FIGURE 16 . g, h, i). Medially of paramera with hollow, narrowing to distal ( Figure 16 View FIGURE 16 . g, j).

Female genitalia: 8th gonocoxites yellowish brown and with brown punctures. 8th and 9th gonapophysis yellow, 9th gonocoxites yellow and gibbous ( Figure 16 View FIGURE 16 . k).

Measurements in millimetres of 3 and (Ƥ): Males (n=4) females (n=4). Length of head 1.30 (1.50), width 1.70 (1.75), interocular distance 1.15 (1.20), lengths of antennal segments I, II, III, IV and V, 0.30 (0.35), 0.50 (0.53), 0.25 (0.30), 0.36 (0.40) and 0.65 (0.73), width of pronotum with distal part of humeral process 4.60 (4.90); width of abdomen 4.10 (4.40); total length of body 6.25 (6.60).

Seidenstücker), ( ZSMC); Niġde, Ulukışla, 27.V.1958, 2Ƥ, 23 (leg. Seidenstücker), ( ZSMC); Aġrı, 21.VII.2009, 13Ƥ, 83 (leg. A. Dursun); Van, Muradiye, 22.VII.2009, 7Ƥ, 103 (leg. A. Dursun); Van, Gürpınar, 24.VII.2009, 10Ƥ, 113 (leg. A. Dursun).

Distribution. Europe: Kazakhstan (European part), Russia, Ukraine. Asia: Azerbaijan, China, Kazakhstan (Asian part), Kirgizia, Russia, Syria, Tadzhikistan, Turkey (Asian part), Uzbekistan ( Rider 2006).

Distribution in Turkey. Ankara ( Hoberlandt 1956); Konya, Niġde ( Seidenstücker 1958); Eskişehir, Kırşehir, ( Lodos et al. 1998).

Comments. This Caspian species was first mentioned in Turkey by Hoberlandt (1956) based on specimens from the surroundings of Ankara. It is frequent and widely distributed in Anatolia, east Europe and central Asia. Seidenstücker (1958) reported Alyssum alyssoides (Brassicaceae) as host plant During this study, specimens were collected on Sisymbrium loeselii belonging to the same family.
