Material examined. PERU. Tingo Maria: ♀, Monson Valley , 15–X–1954, E. I. Schlinger & E. S. Ross col. ( UFRG); Junin : ♂, Chanchamayo, from W. F. H. Rosenberg ( UFRG). BRAZIL. Amazonas: ♀, Tititico , Boca Cauarubi , 16–IV–1964, J. & B. Bechyné ( UFRG).
Measurements. Body length: 12–14 mm; body width: 7.5–7.8 mm; head length: 3.7 mm; head width: 2.5 mm.
Medium size. Body ochraceous to dark greenish, hemelytral veins lighter than body. Calloused area of the scutellum usually with very large spots but in some specimens such area is reduced to a tiny yellow dot. Hemelytra with a mesial dark spot. Medial ridge of mesosternum yellow to ochraceous. Calloused margin of metapleuron reddish. Ventrally abdomen with small castaneous dots covering punctures; medial large castaneous stripe not or poorly punctured. Spiracles partially involved by a calloused yellow area or such area reduced to a spot. Medial retrorsely produced process of seventh abdominal segment rectangular and arising from disc’s surface, remote from apical margin that is ventrally curved (Fig. 3).
Male (Figs. 1–2). Pygophore (pyg) with dorsal rim (dr) slightly projected medially. Posterolateral angle (pl) tumid and cuneiform in lateral view. Ventral rim (vr) wide and fold dorsally, area of contact with posterolateral angle semimembranous. Parameres (pa) uncinate or acutely hooked with a medial and a distal expansion. Proctiger (X) with a large, dorsal, triangular membranous area; posterior processes of proctiger (pp) developed; posterior face almost perpendicular to dorsal one.
Female (Fig. 4). Gonocoxites 8 (gc8) subrectangular and flattish. Laterotergites 8 (la8) wider than long, outline rounded, with a small basal spiracle. Laterotergites 9 (la9) small, rounded stout and ventrally bent.
Comments. We did not examine the type, but only material identified by Ruckes. During the revision of Antiteuchus ( Fernandes & Grazia, 2006) additional specimens from Peru were examined. This species can be recognized by the ochraceous color of the body, a brown spot on hemelytron, reddish margin of the metapleuron, and the yellow to ochraceous medial ridge of the mesosternum. When the scutellar yellow spots are present (fig. 9) the species can be easily recognized.
