Type Locality: Argentina, Catamarca Prov., Chumbicha 600 m.

Vernacular Names: Foch's Tuco-tuco.

Distribution: SW Catamarca Prov., Argentina.

Discussion: Included in mendocinus by Cabrera (1961) and Woods (1993), but Galliari et al. (1996) indicated that neither make a case for its synonymy.
