Type material examined. Holotype: ɗ, " Anatolia bor., Korge & Heinz leg. / S Rize, Paß s. Ikizdere, 2000– 2600 m, 4.VIII.1965 / X. (Echinophallus) heinzi Coiff. H. Coiffait det. 1966 / Holotype / Xantholinus heinzi Coiffait det. V. Assing 2006" (cKor).

Additional material examined: TURKEY: Rize: 2 exs., 50 km SSE Rize, W Sivrikaya, 40°41'N, 40°39'E, 2050 m, natural fir forest, litter and dead wood, 1.VIII.2006, leg. Assing (cAss); 2 exs., ca. 30 km S Ardeşen, 40°56'N, 40°58'E, 750 m, moist forest with boxwood and Rhododendron , sifted, 3.VIII.2006, leg. Schülke (cSch); 1 ex., Ikizdere, 1600 m, VII.1971, leg. Schubert ( NHMW).

Comment. The original description of this species is based on a male holotype and two female paratypes from "Col sud Ikizdere, 2000–2600 m " ( Coiffait 1970). The above specimens represent the first records after the original description. The currently known distribution is illustrated in Fig. 93 .
