Holotype ♂, Thailand, Chiang Mai Province, Doi Phahompok NP, Kiewhom 1, 28.iii.2008, 20° 3.649' N, 99° 8.852' E, 2174m, P Wongchai (voucher BCLDQ01540, Genbank JN278293 View Materials ) ( QSBG) [head and pronotum+fore legs mounted separately on card]. GoogleMaps
Body length (corrected) 4.2 mm, fore wing length 4.1 mm and antenna length 5.2 mm.
Antenna with 39 flagellomeres. Occipital carina strongly arched medio-dorsally into a lobe where it is distinct but weak, joining hypostomal carina ventrally. Mesopleuron entirely aciculate, precoxal sulcus very weakly impressed with faint subvertical striation. Propodeum largely finely coriaceous, midlongitudinal carina more or less obliterated on posterior 0.2, lateral carinae of propodeum present. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 2.1 x 1-CU1. Apex of fore wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Fore wing vein 3-SR 2.2 x vein r. Fore wing vein 2-SR+M 0.9 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2.15 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.2 x 1-M. Hind wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Hind wing vein m-cu represented by a weak brown mark, antefurcal. Apex of hind tibia without comb of modified adpressed setae. Claws without conspicuous pecten. Basal lobes of first tergite moderately developed (asymmetric, posteriorly concave on left side but more or less straight on right side). 1 st tergite rather elongate. Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite present on basal 0.7.
Etymology. Name based on the word propodeum in reference to its relatively unusual largely aciculate propodeal sculpture.
