Holotype ♀, Thailand, Chantha Buri, Pon Nan Kon , 31.iii.2001, 12.37° N, 102.00° E, UV light trap, Quicke & Laurenne (voucher BCLDQ00011, Genbank JF962590 ) ( QSBG).

Body length [estimated] 6.2 mm and fore wing length 5.6. mm.

[Head lost.] Mesopleuron largely rugulose with remainder aciculate, specular area entirely aciculate. Propodeum with midlongitudinal carina on anteror 0.7. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 1.6 x 1-CU1. Fore wing subbasal cell with a distinct narrow oval glabrous area on distal 0.1. Fore wing vein 3-SR 0.75 x vein r. Fore wing vein 2- SR+M 0.75 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 3.75 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.9 x 1-M. Posterior half of hind wing subbasal cell largely glabrous. Hind wing vein m-cu long, straight, sub-tubular, interstitial. Hind tibia with comb of adpressed setae apicomedially and ventrally. Claws robust, without conspicuous pecten. Baso-lateral flange of 1st metasomal tergite angularly produced and distinctly concave posteriorly and posterior margin of lobe nearly transverse or even reclivous, projecting far beyond the small swelling associated with the spiracle. Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite well-developed and complete.

Etymology. Named after the character Lord Vetinari in the Terry Pratchett Discworld novels.

Notes. Despite the poor condition of the only known specimen, this is a distinctive species and is therefore included in the key.
