Holotype ♀, Thailand, Chiang Mai Province, 15.v.2007, Y Areeluck (voucher BCLDQ00162, Genbank JF962552 View Materials ) ( QSBG).
Body length 6.0 mm, fore wing length 5.5 mm and antenna length 6.5 mm.
Antenna with 46 flagellomeres. Terminal flagellomere strongly acuminate. Median flagellomeres approximately 1.8 x longer than wide. Occipital carina complete, the dorsal parts on either side of midline almost straight and forming an angle medially, ventrally joining hypostomal carina. Mesopleuron largely aciculate with strong longitudinal striation dorsally and in precoxal sulcus, speculum absent. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 1.4 x 1-CU1. Apex of fore wing subbasal cell with distinct glabrous lozenge-shaped zone. Fore wing vein 3-SR 2.35 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.75 x 1-M. Hind wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Hind wing vein m-cu represented by weakly pigmented wing fold, interstitial. Hind tibia with comb of adpressed setae apicomedially and ventrally. Claws with pecten of 7 or 8 long, fine, pale brown teeth on basal lobe, these splaying and distinctly separated, and the penultimate ones longest. Basal lobes of 1 st tergite moderately strongly produced, posteriorly concave. Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite distinct on anterior 0.8 of tergum.
Etymology. Named after the character Liessa Wyrmbidder from Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novel, The Colour of Magic.
