The Paradelia intersecta View in CoL species group
The following four species, Paradelia intersecta (Meigen) , P. a rc t i c a (Ringdahl), P. ignotaeformis (Schnabl) and P. m a n n i sp. nov., are small and dark-coloured and have no setulae on the d and v surfaces of wing vein C. Two characters support the monophyly of this species group: (1) male sternite V (e.g., Figs. 69, 70 View FIGURES 69 – 74 ) with nonsetose, angular lamella of each lobe continued far backward as a thin, blade-like, outer lamella in shape of a ploughshare; and (2) male tergite VI very short, fused together with synsclerite VII–VIII.
