Specimens in TAMU were collected at Tamaulipas, Estacioin Biologica Los Cedros Gz. Farias , 300 m, 26–27 July 1993. In the LSUC, there are specimens from Tamaulipas, El Cielito near Encino , 28–30 August 1985. Finally, in the UMNH there are specimens from Huichihuayan, Mexico, August 1940. This site is located in the state of San Luis Potosi .
This species has been reported as far south as Venezuela, Colombia, and Ecuador ( Metcalf, 1963 a). It is common in collections from tropical Central and South America.
