TYPE LOCALITY: Madagascar .

DISTRIBUTION: Madagascar.

COMMENTS: Recognized as a subspecies of nigrita (= dinganii ) by Hayman and Hill, 1971, Pt. 2: 50. However, Robbins et al., in press, considered it specifically distinct from dinganii and borbonicus .
