Host-plants. Prunus cerasifera Ehrh. and P. spinosa L. in the Crimea; in other regions also other species of Prunus and Cerasus spp.
Type of distribution (chorological group). Euro-Mediteranean; the species occurs from Spain and Ireland to Finland, northwestern and central Russia, Greece, and the western Caucasus ( Georgia: Abkhazia).
Material examined. CRIMEA: 1♂, 1♀, 20 km SW Feodosiya, Karadag Reserve, mining larvae on Prunus cerasifera Ehrh. , fieldwork card no. 5010, 14.vii.2011, leg. A. Diškus & A. Navickaitė, genitalia slide no. AN 492♂; the same locality, empty leaf-mines on Prunus spinosa L., fieldwork card no. 5010, 25.vii.2011, leg. A. Diškus & A. Navickaitė; Simferopol, empty leaf-mines on Prunus cerasifera Ehrh. , fieldwork card no. 5010, 12.vii.2011, leg. A. Remarks. The species is common in the Crimea: widespread and very abundant.
