Host-plants. Unknown in the Crimea; probably Quercus pubescens Willd. and other Quercus species as in other regions.
Type of distribution (chorological group). Euro-Mediterranean; the species occurs from Spain and Ireland to Estonia, central European Russia, Greece, Turkey, and the Caucasus ( Georgia).
Material examined. CRIMEA: 10♂, 20 km SW Feodosiya, Karadag Reserve, at light, 03–21.vii.1987, leg. R. Puplesis, genitalia slide no. AG093♂, 5♂, the same locality, at light, 26.vii–01.viii.2011, leg. J. R. Stonis, A.
Navickaitė & G. Varačinskas; 3♂, the same locality, at light, 23.viii.2011, leg. J. R. Stonis & S. Hill; 2♂, the same locality, at light, 24.viii.2011, leg. J. R. Stonis & S. Hill.
Remarks. The species is not rare in the Crimea: widespread but not abundant (no leaf-mines collected, at light only).
