Host-plants. Unknown in the Crimea; in other regions Agrimonia , Filipendula , Fragaria , Potentilla , and Sanguisorba .
Type of distribution (chorological group). The species occurs in Europe (except northern regions); it was treated as belonging to the Euro-Submediterranean species group, but recently it has been discovered in East Asia too (Stonis & Rocienė, in prep.).
Material examined. CRIMEA: 2♂, 20 km SW Feodosiya, Karadag Reserve, at light, 21.vii–30.viii.1987, leg. Yu. Remarks. The species is common in the Crimea: widespread and very abundant (no leaf-mines are known, collected at light only).

Host-plants. Rosa canina L. in the Crimea; in other regions also R. pimpinellifolia L. and Sanguisorba minor Scop.
Type of distribution (chorological group). West-Palaearctic; the species occurs from Spain, Italy and Germany to Greece and Central Asia ( Kazakhstan: Tyan Shan’ Mts).
