Host-plants. Acer campestre L. and A. tataricum L. in the Crimea; in other regions also other species of Acer .
Type of distribution (chorological group). Euro-Submediterranean; the species occurs from Spain and Great Britain to Estonia, central European Russia, Greece, and Asia Minor .
Material examined. CRIMEA: 20 km SW Feodosiya, Karadag Reserve, empty leaf-mines and larvae on A. campestre L., fieldwork card no. 4972, 12 –26.viii.2009, leg. A. Remeikis & J.R. Stonis; the same locality, empty leaf-mines on Acer campestre L. and Acer tataricum L., fieldwork card no. 5028, 13 –14.vii.2011, leg. A. Diškus & A. Remarks. The species is very common in the Crimea: very widespread and very abundant.
