Host-plants. Malus domestica Borkh. in the Crimea; in other regions also Prunus spinosa L. and Pyrus communis L.
Distribution. Euro-Submediterranean; the species occurs from Great Britain and Italy to northwestern and central European Russia and the western Caucasus.
Material examined. CRIMEA: 2♂, 2♀, 20 km SW Feodosiya, Karadag Reserve, larva on Malus domestica Borkh. , fieldwork card no. 5018, 13 –17.vii.2011, leg. A. Diškus & A. Navickaitė, genitalia slide nos AN 478♂, AN 479♂; 12 km E Sudak, Sonyachna Dolyna, empty leaf-mines on Malus domestica Borkh. , fieldwork card no. 5018, 17.vii.2011, leg. A. Diškus & A. Remarks. The species is not rare in the Crimea: widespread but not abundant.
