Genus Rhymogona Cook, 1896 View in CoL
Macheirophoron Verhoeff, 1897 .
This genus epitomizes the difficulties with interpreting morphological variation in terms of a meaningful taxonomy. Rhymogona has been regarded as a monospecific genus or a “ring species” ( Pedroli-Christen & Scholl 1996 a, 1996b), but we here follow Spelda (2005) and recognize five separate species.
