Discussion. Because Blanton and Wirth (1979) and Wilkening et al. (1985) did not specifically distinguish Florida specimens in the C. variipennis complex to subspecies, we list here all slide-mounted specimens of C. sonorensis from Florida in the USNM that were examined by Holbrook et al. (2000) and labeled by WLG.

New records. Escambia Co., Bratt, VI-1968, FS & AJ Blanton, light trap, 5 males, 1 female ( USNM) ; same data except 27 August 1964, Blanton & Broce, 1 female ( WLGC). Jackson Co., Marianna , May 1955, L. T. and Truck Trap, 2 females ; 15 June 1955, light trap, 2 males, 1 female ( USNM). Jefferson Co., Monticello, W. H. Whitcomb, B. L. trap, IV (19)69, 3 females ; V-(19)69, 2 females ( USNM) .
