Persian Gulf. No record.
Gulf of Oman. First record from the Gulf of Oman.
General distribution and habitat. Indo-West Pacific; on intertidal rocks, known as a fouling species ( Henry & McLaughlin 1986; and present study).
Descriptive features and remarks. Shell conic, without spine-like projections, sometimes ribbed (fig. 11i). Summit of radii rather oblique. Shell colour violet with white stripes. Scutum with hood-like projection (fig. 11f). Tergum with spur furrow open (fig. 11h). Largest specimen with basal diameter 32.48 mm, height 25.73 mm. Specimens were collected from intertidal rock in Chabahar (25° 19'N, 60° 37'E) ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ).
