Holotype: India • 1 ♀; Darjeeling ( BMNH).

Remarks.

Gressitt and Rondon (1970) synonymized Chlorophorus socius with C. arciferus and then Holzschuh (1991 b) resurrected it. According to Holzschuh (1991 b), C. socius can be separated from C. arciferus by having a carinate femora.
