Figs 159–161 View FIGURES 153–161 , 192 View FIGURES 184–195
Diagnosis. Ecnomina concava closely resembles other species in the group and it is distinguished by tergum X with a pair of processes which are sub triangular, reaching half the length of the superior appendages and the inferior appendages with slightly elongate meso-distal excision.
Description. Head, body and wings light brown to fawn, abdomen paler ventrally; wings similar to E. merki ( Fig. 172 View FIGURES 168–174 ). Forewing length about 2.9–3.1 times width: male 2.6–2.8 mm, female 2.7 mm. Forewing fork 2 relatively long, with short footstalk, length footstalk about 0.2–0.8 times length cross-vein r-m, length fork about 1.3–1.7 times length of fork 3; fork 3 relatively short, with long footstalk, length fork about 1.6–2.4 times length footstalk, footstalk length about 1.9–2.2 times length cross-vein m, r-m and m nearly contiguous at footstalk fork 3, r-m and m separated by about 0–1.0 times length of cross-vein m; fork 4 slightly shorter than fork 3; fork 5 long, length about twice length of fork 4. Hindwing length about 2.9 times width, fork 2 with short footstalk, length footstalk about 0.6–0.7 times length cross-vein r-m, fork length about 1.4–1.6 times length of fork 3.
Male Tergum X membranous, with one pair of relatively long, sub triangular, robust dorsal processes, narrowly separated, slightly crenulated meso-distally ( Fig. 161 View FIGURES 153–161 ). Superior appendages in lateral view, length about 3.5 times width ( Fig. 159 View FIGURES 153–161 ); in dorsal view, length about 3 times width, dilated slightly and with several spines distally ( Fig. 161 View FIGURES 153–161 ). Phallus simple, tube-like, slender ( Fig. 159 View FIGURES 153–161 ). Inferior appendages short; in ventral view, fused in basal third, dilated and truncated distally, with elongate ovoid excision meso-distally, length about two thirds width ( Fig. 160 View FIGURES 153–161 ); in lateral view, dilated slightly distally, length about 2.5 times width ( Fig. 159 View FIGURES 153–161 ).
Female. Genitalia with a single short, broadbased, slender digitiform mesal process on sternite VIII; segment IX relatively long, tapered slightly distally, segment X relatively short and segments IX and X relatively slender ( Fig. 192 View FIGURES 184–195 ).
