Etymology. Noun in apposition. After the Great Inca, Huayna Capac , who died in 1526.
Diagnosis. The dark head, pronotum and scutellum contrasting with the yellow elytra, and absence of visible sculpturation will distinguish this species from all others except D. malalae from which it may be separated by its larger size, more proximate longitudinal depressions on the pronotum, the form of the mesoventral collar and keel, and by the anteriorly swollen mentum.
