Stielsamenkraut
Unterscheidet sich von Scorzonera (S. 600) durch folgende Merkmale: Blätter bis auf den Mittelnerv fiederteilig; Früchte am Grunde mit einem heller gefärbten, hohlen Stiel, der dicker ist als die Frucht ( die eigentliche Frucht deshalb wie ein Fruchtschnabel aussehend).
Die Gattung Podospermum umfaßt 12 Arten und hat vor allem westasiatisch-mediterrane Verbreitung. Chromosomengrundzahl: n = 7.
