Diagnosis (male). Characteristic wing maculation between the radial veins and at the wing apical third; R2+3 vestigial.

Material examined. Holotype: ♂, PERU : Madre de Dios: Rio Tambopata Reserve , 12.83ºS, 69.28ºW, 8.xi.1983, T. Erwin col. ( USNM) GoogleMaps . ( LACM) GoogleMaps ; 1♂, Putumayo: PNN La Paya , 0.02ºS, 75.20ºW, 25.ix.2001, sweeping, 330m, D. Campos col. ( LACM) GoogleMaps ; ECUADOR: 1♂, Napo: Jatun Sacha Reserve , 1.07ºS, 77.00ºW, 6–15.ix.2000, Malaise trap, F. Hovore col. ( LACM) GoogleMaps .

Hypopygium description ( Fig. 48). Hypopygium light brown. Epandrium covered with microtrichia mostly dorsally, proximal lateral areas bare; epandrial dorsal and left sutures present. Left epandrial process dorsally setose, with apical setulose lobe and subepandrial transversal elevation. Right epandrial projection with subepandrial group of setulae. Hypoproct with two setae. Right lobe of hypandrium without lateral projection, apically narrow.

Geographical distribution. This species is found in southeastern Colombia and southeastern Peru, the western most range of the Amazon basin.
