Coniceromyia fusca Borgmeier View in CoL

( Figs. 327–328 View FIGURES 325 – 330 )

Coniceromyia fusca Borgmeier, 1925: 125 View in CoL . Refs.: Borgmeier 1950: 293, textfigs. 4, 13, fig. 3 in plate xvi, fig. 3 in plate xix.

Material examined. Holotype ♀, BRAZIL: Rio de Janeiro: Petrópolis , 13.iv.1923, Ronchi col ( MZSP).

Comments. The association of males with globose antenna to the female holotype of C. fusca , as has been proposed by Borgmeier (1950), is not accepted here. The morphological resemblance of the antenna shared between them is also shared with males of other species with similar distribution, as is the case of the males of C. affinis . Males previously considered conspecific with the holotype of C. fusca are here described as C. neofusca , sp. nov.
