Genus Ectatosticta Simon, 1892 View in CoL View at ENA
Type species. Hypochilus davidi Simon, 1889 . Diagnosis. Ectatosticta can be distinguished from Hypochilus by the rectangular labium almost as long as wide and with a pair of triangular posterolateral flanges (other than wider than long, rebordered, simple), by numerous leg spines (other than spines absent or few) and by the very elongate male palp which cymbium nearly three times as long as the bulb (other than cymbium and bulb equal in length) ( Forster et al. 1987; Lin & Li 2020).
Description of genitalia. Male palp with an extremely elongated cymbium. Genital bulb originated on the fossa located in the distal end of cymbium ( Figs 5–15 View FIGURE 5 View FIGURE 6 View FIGURE 7 View FIGURE 8 View FIGURE 9 View FIGURE 10 View FIGURE 11 View FIGURE 12 View FIGURE 13 View FIGURE 14 View FIGURE 15 ). Two lobes located on the cymbial distal margin retrolaterally. The small lobe near the ventral side, semicircular or triangular, with a single seta or without. The large lobe close to the dorsal side, with at least a strong, thickened, closely appressed setae. There are also some other strong setae on the subdistal end of cymbium retrolaterally ( Fig. 16 View FIGURE 16 ). Embolus and conductor located on the genital bulb apically. Embolus thin, relatively long and arc-curved, with a wide base. Conductor lamellar, slightly clockwise curved, holding the apical part of embolus. The bases of embolus and conductor combined together.
