Chiriqui: Goding 1929e: 302 lists Tragopa bugabensis Fowler View in CoL as synonym for Stilbophora xanthocephala View in CoL , giving Fowler’s Tragopa bugabensis View in CoL Panamá location (Bugaba) for Stilbophora xanthocephala View in CoL . McKamey 1998: 296–297 lists both Stilbophora xanthocephala View in CoL and Tragopa bugabensis View in CoL as valid species with Panamá locations. No specimens of Stilbophora xanthocephala View in CoL have been seen by the author.
