Cunaxa yaylensis sp. nov.
Female ( Figs. 45–53 View FIGURES 45 – 49 View FIGURES 50 – 53 ).
Gnathosoma ( Figs. 45–47 View FIGURES 45 – 49 ). Chaetotaxy and structure of palps ( Fig. 45 View FIGURES 45 – 49 ) and chelicerae as in C. gordeevae sp. nov. Dorsal setae on palpal basi- and telofemur are filiform and do not reach to the distal margin of the segments. The apophysis of telofemur with pointed apex and closer to the central part of the segment. Dorsal seta on genu incrassate. The dorsal surface of palpal coxae papillated ( Fig. 46 View FIGURES 45 – 49 ). Proximally, the ventral surface of hypognathum provided with thin transverse striae ( Fig. 47 View FIGURES 45 – 49 ). Longitudinal striae become broken distally to hg4. Areas with broken striae and papillae occur near setae hg 3.
Idiosomal dorsum ( Fig. 48 View FIGURES 45 – 49 ). Chaetotaxy as in C. gordeevae sp. nov. The surface of the dorsal propodosomal plate is smooth and only near the bases of vi weakly transverse striae occur. Also, laterally to sce some papillae are present. Length of setae sci as long as half the distance between their bases. Hysterosoma dorsally with thin, long and smooth striae which in the pre-anal area are provided with few papillae.
Idiosomal venter ( Fig. 49 View FIGURES 45 – 49 ). Chaetotaxy as in C. gordeevae sp. nov. Ventral surface with thin smooth striae. Genital setae subequal in length and form two rows, g1 and g4 situated laterally to the row formed by g2–g3.
Legs ( Fig. 50–53 View FIGURES 50 – 53 ). Leg chaetotaxy: coxae I–IV, 3 sts, 1 peg —1 sts —3 sts —2 sts; trochanters I–IV, 1—1—2—1 sts; basifemora I–IV, 4—4—2—0 sts; telofemora I–IV, 4 sts —4 sts —3 sts, 1 ms —3 sts, 1 ms; genua I–IV, {1 asl, 1 sts}, {2 asl}, 1 asl, 4 sts —2 asl, 5 sts —1 asl, 5 sts —1 asl, 5 sts; tibiae I–IV, {1 asl, 1 sts}, 1 bsl, 4 sts —1 bsl, 5 sts —1 bsl, 5 sts —1 T, 4 sts; tarsi I–IV, {1 bsl, 1 peo, 1 sts}, 3 bsl, 1 dtsl, 2 tsl, 20 sts —1 bsl, 1 dtsl, 1 tsl, 22(23) sts —1 tsl, 22(23) sts —19 sts. Tarsi of legs relatively short. Proximal solenidia of genu I short, about twice the length the diameter of its alveolus. Both solenidia on tibia I short, about half length of the segment or shorter. Except basifemora, leg surface with papillae, which are dorsally larger but less dense. Ventral surface of the basifemora with proximal transverse thin broken striae while distally with longitudinal striae.
Measurements. Length of idiosoma 455; width 337. Length of hypognathum 162; widht 98. Length of palps 234. Length of chelicerae 157. Length of legs: I 311; II 290; III 319; IV 337. Length of setae: hg1 14; hg2 23; hg3 33; hg4 21; ve 14; sci 25; c1 24; c2 22; d1 30; e1 30; f1 68; h1 55; g 1–4 13–16. Distance between setae: hg4–hg4 34; sci–sci 47; ve–ve 135, sce–sci 50.
Remark. Number of simple setae on tarsi II–III is not the same on the legs of different side: on right tarsi II–III 23–22 and 22 –23 left.
Male and immatures unknown.
Etymology. The specific name refers to distribution of new species on mountain pasture of Crimean mountains.
Differential diagnosis. Some features distinguished this new species from all known species of the genus Cunaxa . In female on tibia I the solenidion associate with dorsal simple seta is equal or shorter than half length of segment. The proximal solenidia on genu I are short and subequal in length: their length about 2 diameters of its alveoli. In addition, female of C. yaylensis differs from one of closely resembles C. violaphila sp. nov. by 2 simple setae on basifemur III (3 in C. violaphila ). These species differ from other new species described in the present paper by relatively short tarsi and chaetotaxy of leg’s basifemora I, II and IV. The setation formula of above mentioned segments in females of both species is 4–4 sts and 0 seta respectively (3–3 sts and 1 sts in other spp. nov.).
Type material. Female holotype, Ukraine, Crimea, Nikitskaya mountain pasture, in cereal sod, 5.V.2002 (Coll. Khaustov, A.A.).
Location of material. Holotype in NBG.
