Material: Mazandaran province: Noor, Chamestan, Gaznasara (36°16′56.82″ N, 52°10′58.50″ E, 2032m a.s.l.), 26.ix.2011, 1♀ ( TMUC) ; Guilan province: Astaneh Ashrafiyeh, Eshman kamachal (37°22′03.66″ N, 49°57′57.84″ E, - 1m b.s.l.), 8.xi.2010, 1♀ ; Roodsar, Orkom (36°45′44.34″ N, 50°18′11.88″ E, 1201m a.s.l.), 5.ix.2010, 1♀ ( TMUC) ; Roodsar, Rahim abad, Ziaz (36°52′27.18″ N, 50°13′24.78″ E, 490m a.s.l.), 4.x.2011, 2♀ ( TMUC) .

Diagnosis: Vein r slightly longer than vein 2RS; pterostigma evenly brown; vein r-m well developed, areolet closed ( Fig. 6f ); metacoxa brown to black ( Fig. 6d ); T1 slightly arched (barrel-shaped); T1 length 1.60–1.70× its maximum width; T1 black and rugose; T2 black and rugulose; T3/T2 length: 2.00–2.20; T3+ smooth and yellow with almost medial brownish band ( Fig. 6g ); ovipositor sheaths slightly shorter than metatibia ( Fig. 6d ).

Notes: Recently C. taftanensis was described as a new species in south of Iran, and in this study this species is recorded for the first time in the north of Iran.

Distribution in Iran: Sistan-o Baluchestan, Kerman, Kermanshah ( Ghafouri Moghaddam et al. 2018), Guilan and Mazandaran provinces (current study). General distribution: This species has only been reported from Iran
