Meladomus Letourneuxi Bourguignat, 1879: 41 View in CoL . Type material — syntype: MHNG-INVE- 111668 (1 spm.). Type locality —“les bords du Nil, près de Damiette” [the banks of the Nile, near Damietta]. Distribution —Nile Delta, Egypt.
Remarks. Only known from the original description and the more detailed description and illustration of Berthier (1885: 101, pl. 6, fig. 4), who gave an additional location, “Mansourah”, in the Nile Delta. Kobelt (1911: 22) mistakenly reported the locality as that of Ampullaria letourneuxi Bourguignat, 1879 (listed under Pila herein), which was described in the same publication as Meladomus letourneuxi Bourguignat, 1879 . Valid species, teste G.B. Sowerby III (1916: 67) and Pilsbry & Bequaert (1927: 187).
