Probstia astoni Wiesner, 2010 .
A species recently described species from, and appears to be confined to, the lower slopes of Tai Mo Shan. Also listed as occurring in Hong Kong by Vor (2011). Material: 2 exx. Hong Kong, Shing Mun, 14.v.15, pifall trap.Leg. R.Ho Lee & Y.Luo; 1 ex. Hong Kong, Lam Tsuen valley, Tai Om Shan, 16.v.15, at least 5 others seen; 2 exx. Hong Kong, Lam Tsuen valley, Tai Om Shan, 18.v.13 (abundant along footpath with up to 1 per meter a;long shaded areas of path; 1 ex. Hong Kong, Lam Tsuen valley, Tai Om Shan, 28.v.13; 1 ex. Hong Kong, Lam Tsuen valley, Tai Om Shan, 17.v.14, several seen; sight record Hong Kong, Lam Tsuen valley, Tai Om Shan, 1.vi.14; 5 exx. Hong Kong, Ng Tung Chai, 11.vi.10 (JWPC); Sight record Hong Kong, Ng Tung Chai, 13.vi.98; 3 exx. Hong Kong, Ng Tung Chai, 22.vi.09 (2 exx. JWPC); Sight record Hong Kong, Ng Tung Chai, 26.vi.07. Biology: Imago found May to June. It is quite common in mature woodland in Tai Om and Ng Tung Chai valleys, from 200 – 700 m altitude, where it can be seen on earthen, rocky or even concreted footpaths, under closed tree canopy with well vegetated verges. Fully winged.
