Material examined. Brazil. Rio de Janeiro, Guapimirim, Rio Soberbo, Estrada Rio-Teresópolis, 21.vii.1991, 4n ( DZRJ 17), 5n ( DZRJ 2394), L. F. M. Dorvillé.

Remarks. The species was described based on material from Rio de Janeiro State, but the specific locality was not included. Gripopteryx reticulata has been also collected from streams of Itatiaia, Nova Friburgo, Petrópolis, and Resende.

Distribution. Brazil. Minas Gerais, São Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro.
