(Korean name: u-li-tong-na-bang)

Coleophora koreana Baldizzone, 1989a: 16 View in CoL . Type locality: North Korea, Shuotsu [now Jueol] // [holotype (male) deposited in SMNH].

Casignetella koreana ; Lelej 2016: 104; Anikin 2019: 82; Anikin 2021: 325.

Coleophora koreana View in CoL ; Park & Baldizzone 1992: 525; Baldizzone et al. 2006: 72; Kim & Park 2009: 189; Park 2014: 44.

Diagnosis. The species appears to be related to C. odorariella Mühlig & Frey, 1857 , sharing male genital characteristics similar to those of a compressed stem of the tegumen, a subtriangular valvula, the transtilla divided into two, each with a strongly bent distal half terminating in a pointed apex, a sub-rhomboidal sacculus terminating in an elongated thorn-like process, two elongated juxtal rods of the phallotheca, one with a pointed apex and the other with a sinuate distal part, and a long and pointed cornutus. However, it can be distinguished from the latter by the following male genital characteristics: in those of C. koreana Baldizzone, 1989 (see Baldizzone 1989a: Figs 8 View FIGURE 8 , 10 View FIGURE 10 , 11 View FIGURE 11 ), the valvula with a triangular fold, and a subtriangular sacculus terminating with an elongated thorn-like process with pointed apex are present, while in C. odorariella (see Baldizzone 2019: Pl. GM LXV, Fig. 207), male genitalia possess the valvula without a triangular fold, and a sacculus terminating in an upturned thorn-like process with a rounded apex, with a triangular tooth at the base of the process.

Adult: ( Baldizzone 1989a: wingspan 11.0 mm). See Baldizzone (1989a: Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 : head); Kim & Park (2009: Fig. 13 View FIGURE13 ); Park (2014: Pl. for adults, Fig. 17 View FIGURE 17 ).

Male genitalia: See Baldizzone (1989a: Figs 8 View FIGURE 8 , 10 View FIGURE 10 , 11 View FIGURE 11 : holotype / gen. slide no. Bldz-7988); Kim & Park (2009: Fig. 36: holotype / gen. slide no. Bldz-7988); Park (2014: Fig. 17 View FIGURE 17 : holotype / gen. slide no. Bldz-7988).

Female genitalia: Unknown.

Larval case: Unknown.

Host plants. Unknown.

Distribution. North Korea, Russia (Southern Siberia, Far East) ( Baldizzone et al. 2006; Kim & Park 2009; Park 2014; Anikin 2019).

Remarks. Baldizzone (1989a) described the species based on a single specimen collected from North Korea, but there are to date no records of it from South Korea.
