Material studied. China: Taiwan: 1 ♂, Pingdong Hsien, Wutai, Xiaoguihu , 22°43'N 120°46E, 1200 m, 04.IV.1998, Chen leg. ( SNUC) GoogleMaps .
Comment: The original description is based on type specimens collected in Peitawu Shan, Pingdong Hsien, Taiwan ( Assing 2015a). This species is subject to considerable intraspecific variation of characters such as the shape of the pronotum ( Fig. 1A View FIGURE 1 ), the shape of the dorsal plate and the internal structures of the aedeagus ( Figs 1 View FIGURE 1 D–F).
