Material examined: Laos: 1 ♂, 1 ♀, Phongsali Province, Phongsali env., 1300–1500 m, 1–15.V.2004 (cMar, cAss) .

Comment: This species was known from Hong Kong and the Chinese provinces Guangxi and Zhejiang ( ASSING 2016a). The above specimens represent the first record from Laos. Unlike the previously examined specimens from China and Hong Kong, those from Laos have the elytra and abdomen practically completely black. The aedeagus of the male from Laos is illustrated in Figs 78–80 View Figs 72–86 .
