Redescription of type material. Head, anterior lobe of pronotum and base of scutellum brownish ochraceous in female; posterior margin of pronotum slightly convex; corium opaque, pale yellow; the uniserially punctate basal part of the exocorium much shorter than the remaining part in lectotype (female), and subequal in length to the remaining part in paralectotype (sex unknown, possibly male); hemelytra slightly exceeding apex of abdomen; labium reaching metacoxae; tibiae with two dark annulations; hind femora with a fuscous spot on upper surface a little beyond middle; abdominal connexivum bicoloured, with posterior lateral angle black; female sternites IV–VI not narrowed in midline; posterior margin of sternite VI of female slightly convex at middle.
Measurements. [Lectotype ♀]. Body length 5.01; maximum width across hemelytra 1.79; head length 0.59, head width across eyes 1.28; length of labial segments 0.59, 0.69, 0.50, 0.50; mesal pronotal length 1.12; anterior pronotal lobe length 0.42; posterior pronotal lobe length 0.70; anterior pronotal width 1.15; posterior pronotal width 1.68; mesal scutellar length 0.97; basal scutellar width 1.01; hemelytral length 3.45. Antennae missing; right midleg missing.

Distribution. India.
Remarks. Sadoletus pallescens is similar to S. validus but differs in the characters given in the key.
