Sadoletus montanellus Bergroth, 1918: 109 View in CoL (original description); Slater (1964: 776) (catalogue, distribution).
Redescription of type material. Head, anterior pronotal lobe black, trapezoid; posterior pronotal lobe blackish brown, with median longitudinal ridge; scutellum brownish black with apex pale; corium pale yellow in basal half and black in distal half, with the latter not covered inner angle and lateral margin in male; claval suture blackish brown; membrane hyaline and exceeding apex of abdomen. Body beneath black; fore femora blackish brown; mid- and hind femora ochraceous with distal half blackish brown except tarsomere I pale; apex of scent gland peritreme ochraceous.
Measurements. [Lectotype ♂]. Body length 3.45; maximum width across hemelytra 1.17; head length 0.41, head width across eyes 1.68; length of antennal segments I–IV respectively 0.25, 0.50, 0.43, 0.62; length of labial segments 0.43, 0.48,?,?; mesal pronotal length 0.76; anterior pronotal lobe length 0.34; posterior pronotal lobe length 0.43; anterior pronotal width 0.85; posterior pronotal width 1.17; mesal scutellar length 0.67; basal scutellar width 0.64; hemelytral length 2.36. Segment IV of right antennae missing.
