World distribution. Chile.

Chileand distribution. From Coquimbo to Ñuble region ( Fig. 110 View FIGURE 110 ).

Altitudinal range. From inland valleys to precordillera ecosystems (350– 1,400 m.a.s.l.).

Biology and notes. Tropidia nigricornis View in CoL is associated with Mediterranean forests. It has been observed visiting E. paniculatum View in CoL (R. Barahona-Segovia, pers. obs.). Other data about the biology or ecology of this species are unknown.

Conservation status. LC; EOO = 88,116 km 2; AOO = 64 km 2 and 16 localities (or subpopulations).
