Altitudinal range. This species inhabits mainly native forests near the coast (5– 99 m.a.s.l.). Some specimens have also been recorded in the precordillera.

Biology and notes. Chromocheilosia incerta is associated with the Valdivian forest, which has been highly fragmented by plantation forestry since the 1970s, as well as cattle and urbanization ( Miranda et al. 2017). Other aspects about its biology and ecology remain unknown.

Conservation status. VU under B2ab (iii) using AOO = 28 km 2 and seven localities and seven subpopulations; EOO = 41,336 km 2.
