Biology and notes. Eosalpingogaster nigriventris is here reported from Chile for the first time. This species is morphologically similar to E. conopida . The species Ethelurgus rufipes (Brèthes) ( Ichneumonidae ), Prosaspicera cesarina (Brèthes) ( Figitidae ) and Trichomalus polviventris Brèthes have been mentioned as parasitoids of this species by Silva et al. (1968). It has been described that E. nigriventris prey on Coccidae and Diaspididae (Lizer y Trelles 1939; Knutson 1971).
Conservation status. DD; AOO = 2 km 2 and one locality (or subpopulation).
