Biology and notes. Toxomerus floralis is a flower fly species widely distributed in Neotropical areas and probably associated with crops in Azapa, Camarones and Lluta valley. Arcaya et al. (2013) recorded this species feeding on Aphidae and leafhopper insects. Biological aspects and potential prey in Chile are unknown.

Conservation status. LC; EOO = 608 km 2, AOO = 12 km 2 and three localities (or subpopulations). This species is widely distributed for all Neotropical region.
