Type material. 12 Syntypes: Lectotype here designated (male): „ Jalapa [Vera Cruz], Mexico, Hoege.“ \ „ Type “ [red circle], ( BMNH) . Paralectotypes: (7 spec.): the same data as lectotype (6 BMNH, 1 JHAC); (1 spec. not sexed): “ Cordova ” [Sonora] \ “ Mexico, Salle coll.”, ( BMNH); (3 spec.) : “ Orizaba ” [Chiapas] \ „ Mexico, Salle coll.“, ( BMNH) .

Remarks. According the characters mentioned by Beal (1975, 1985) the species belongs to the C. triste species group.

Distribution. Species known from Mexico: Chiapas, Guerrero, Sonora, Vera Cruz.
