Remarks. Antennae of both species is very small different in largest of terminal segment. The elytral patterns is varified in largest and numbering. Male and female genitalia of both species is identical. The variety Cryptorhopalum argutum var. cordovanum synonymized by the author as synonymum of C. argutum ( Háva, 2007) . Cryptorhopalum argutum is therefore a junior synonym of C. germanum . According the characters mentioned by Beal (1975, 1985) the species belongs to the C. quadrimaculatum species group.

Distribution. Species known from Mexico: Guanajuato, Guerrero, Morelos; Guatemala, new for Mexico: Oaxaca.
