Cryptorhopalum ventanense Sharp, 1902: 661 .

Type material. 3 Syntypes: Lectotype here designated (male): „ Ventanas, Durango, Höge “ \ „ Type “ [red circle], ( BMNH) . Paralectotypes (1 male, 1 female): the same data as lectotype, ( BMNH) .

Additional material. Mexico, Rinconada , Ver. [Vera Cruz], ca. 2000 ft. Alt., 29.vi.[19]41, 1 male, ( JHAC) .

Remarks. According the characters mentioned by Beal (1975, 1985) the species belongs to the C. triste species group.

Distribution. Species is desribed from Mexico: Durango, new for Vera Cruz.
