Description of Gordonia neofelifaecis MN View in CoL View at ENA 13
Cells are Gramstainingpositive, nonflagellated and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular and cream-colored after 3 days on MA at 15°C. Positive for βgalactosidase in API 20NE but negative for indole production, arginine dihydrolase, esculin hydrolysis and gelatinase. D-Glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannitol, N-acetyl-glucosamine, gluconate and adipate are utilized. Does not utilize D-mannose, D-maltose, caprate, malate, citrate and phenylacetate. Strain MN13 (= NIBRBA0000114947) has been isolated from gut of mugil cephalus, Korea.
