Brachymeria lasus (Walker) ( Hymenoptera : Chalcididae )

Brief diagnosis. Body length 7 mm. Body colour black, tegula pale yellow, base reddish brown. Coxa and trochanters black, femur shiny black with apical region yellow, fore and mid tibia yellow, hind tibia yellow with base black. Pubescence silvery white. Lateral ridges of scrobe produced in front of the antennal toruli. A smooth median area below the scrobe. First tergite smooth, second tergite punctured.

Host. Curetis thetis (Drury) ( Lepidoptera : Lycaenidae ) on host plant Millettia (= Pongamia ) pinnata (L.) Panigrahi and Anthene lycaenina (Felder) ( Lepidoptera : Lycaenidae ) on host plant Drypetes roxburghii (Euphorbiaceae) .

Material examined. Two females and one male; one female, INDIA, Maharashtra, Nagla, 14.viii.13, coll. Sarang Mhatre, ex.
