Type species: Locheutis philochora Meyrick, 1883
Diagnosis. Locheutis is characterized by the head with spreading side tufts and the antennae without pecten; the forewing with distinct discal, discocellular, and plical spots, an ill-defined subterminal fascia and distinct terminal dots, R 4 and R 5 stalked, and R 5 reaching apex; the hindwing with Rs, M 1 and M 2 subparallel, M 3 and CuA 1 connate; in the male genitalia by the lack of uncus, the gnathos being a widely or narrowly banded plate, and the valva deeply divided into a costal and a saccular part; in the female genitalia by having a funnel-shaped antrum and a corpus bursae with paired signa (as in L. tianmushana Wang, 2002 ).
Biology. Little is known about the biology of Locheutis species. Adults were collected in mountainous regions in April, July, August, and October.
